Research
My background is on the structural & functional study of polyketide synthase (PKS) and its engineering. One of my focus is on the biosynthesis with chimeric PKS to produce valuable compounds. We use synthetic biology to effectively create novel PKS and investigate the production of the novel compound in different microorganisms. In order to use PKS more efficiently, we are interested to thoroughly understand the mechanism of PKS and build larger modular PKS to produce more complicated compounds in vivo.
