Research

I am interested in making essential chemical transformations greener. In my PhD, I discovered and used biosynthetic enzymes for challenges in organic synthesis (ex. small strained rings and biaryls). In the Keasling lab, I aim to bring this expertise to a larger scale on the DARPA switch project – with PKS engineering, genetic tools, and different chassis. I am especially eager to take advantage of all the high-throughput instrumentation in the lab.
