Research

My research focuses on high throughput discovery of plastic degrading enzymes using statistical learning. The research I am performing with Jay Keasling focuses on the biological deconstruction of novel bioplastic materials. We are interested in understanding the environmental response to these bioplastics, in addition to engineering of the polymers for biodegradation efficiency.
