I’m working on recombinant protein production in filamentous fungi to develop sustainable microbial foods. My PhD project is part of the Novo Nordisk Foundation Challenge grant SEEDFOOD, where the main objective is to transform rapeseed proteins into a sustainable protein source for human consumption. My responsibility in this project lies with recombinant production of rapeseed proteins, therefore I’m trying to establish Aspergillus oryzae as a platform strain for recombinant protein production.
